Uzbekistan and Thailand sign “Road map” to develop cooperation in the field of conformity assessment

On December 18-19 of this year, the “Thailand Halal Assembly-2025” is being held in Bangkok, Thailand. As part of the event, a “Road map” was signed between the state institution “Uzbekistan scientific testing and quality control Center” and the “Halal Science Center” under the prestigious Chulalongkorn University of Thailand to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of conformity assessment in 2026-2027. This document is aimed at bringing cooperation to a new level in the fields of conformity assessment, implementation of halal standards, testing and certification.

A presentation on the scientific approach to the field of halal was also shown during the event. It emphasized the importance of scientific research foundations in the production and evaluation of halal products.

Also, a new direction in the halal sector – the concept of “Green Halal” was officially proposed. This concept envisages the integration of the principles of environmental sustainability, reducing negative environmental impact and responsible production with halal requirements. The “Green Halal” approach was demonstrated through a practical presentation on the example of a pharmaceutical company.

The presentations highlighted the role of laboratories as a key element of the halal system. It was emphasized that high-quality laboratory analyzes are the basis for a reliable assessment of halal compliance.

In addition, the issue of using blockchain technologies in assessing halal compliance was considered. It was noted that this approach will serve to ensure transparency of processes, data protection and reliability.

The signed “Roadmap” is expected to be one of the important steps in strengthening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Thailand in the field of halal and compliance assessment, as well as the introduction of innovative and ecological directions.
