In order to study and implement the United Kingdom’s advanced experience in textile testing and to strengthen cooperation in the field of conformity assessment, the representative of the company “Intertek”, [Dave Smith Intertek] Mr Dave Smith (Technical Director, Global Softlines), visited to Uzbekistan from October 28 to 31, 2025.
During the visit, Mr. Dave became acquainted with the activities of the “Uzbekistan Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center” State Institution, in particular, the textile testing laboratory located in Tashkent city and the laboratory situated in the “Yuksalish” industrial zone of Namangan region.
Mr. Dave closely observed the process of introducing new types of testing, the installation and operation of modern laboratory equipment in accordance with international standards. “Intertek” representative appreciated the conditions created in the laboratories, the qualifications of the staff, and the ongoing reforms in the field of quality management.
This visit serves as an important step toward further developing cooperation between Uztest and leading international organizations in the field of quality assurance and conformity assessment such as Intertek.
