Meeting held with representatives of the international organization LEEP

A meeting was held between specialists of the Uzbek scientific testing and quality control center and representatives of the international non-governmental organization Lead Exposure Elimination Project.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to reducing the impact of lead on public health, especially among children, decreasing the use of lead in paint and coating products, as well as improving control and regulatory mechanisms in this area.

Information was also presented about the activities of Lead Exposure Elimination Project, which supports initiatives aimed at reducing lead poisoning among children, conducts market research, and assists manufacturers in transitioning to safer technologies. In addition, the participants discussed the possibility of using the Center’s laboratories and strengthening cooperation.

The meeting was attended on behalf of LEEP by senior manager Florence Oberholzer and project manager Sara Sudetić.
