Bureau of Export Promotion

According to the Resolution No. 122 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated April 28, 2011 “On additional measures to improve the implementation of certification procedures and quality management systems”, in order to create favorable conditions for manufacturing enterprises, support entrepreneurship and small business development, the Bureau for Assistance in Exporting Products (hereinafter – the Bureau) was established under the Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan.
The Bureau for Assistance in Exporting Products (hereinafter referred to as the Bureau) is a structural subdivision of the “Uzbekistan Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center” SE and has one representative in the Scientific Testing and Certification Centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions (except for Tashkent region).
In its activities, the Bureau is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan, as well as this Regulation.

Tasks, functions and rights of the Bureau

The main tasks of the Bureau are as follows:
• providing free consulting services to enterprises producing products intended for export regarding international and interstate requirements for standards, product certification, labeling, packaging and other parameters;
• developing proposals for the introduction and achievement of international and interstate standard requirements in the production of export-oriented products by manufacturing enterprises;
• providing information and consulting assistance to manufacturing enterprises to obtain the necessary information for entering foreign markets;
• developing and implementing a regularly updated reference guide on international and interstate requirements for standards, product certification, labeling, packaging and other parameters, and subsequently publishing it on the website of the “Uzstandart” Agency.
In accordance with its assigned tasks, the Bureau performs the following functions:
• studies issues raised by enterprises producing export-oriented products and provides them with the necessary information;
• summarizes, prepares and submits to the “Uzstandart” Agency materials on the work performed in providing consulting services on product export issues;
• analyzes existing problems related to the entry of products into foreign markets and submits proposals to the “Uzstandart” Agency for their solution;
• participates in the preparation of programs and activities aimed at promoting products into foreign markets;
